Carnival of Souls - Will's Review

David Lynch sites this movie as an influence, and it's not hard to see; I was very much put in mind of a more coherent Eraserhead through much of its runtime.

A car falls off a bridge during a drag race, during the serch for the vehicle one of the passengers, Mary, emerges from the river with no idea how she survived, and no memory of her escape.

After moving to a new town to take a job as a church organist, Mary is haunted by visions of a ghoulish looking man, and starts to suffer episodes where she is incapable of interacting with people; apparently invisible to the rest of the world.

It's hard to say anything else without spoiling the film, thus the length of this entry, but for the sake of review I will say that the ending was both predictable, and disappointing.
